Rising-Stars: All of our campers in grades rising kindergarten through rising 3rd grade.
All-Stars: All campers rising 4th grade through rising 7th grade.
Super-Stars: Our counselors in training. These awesome rising 7th-9th graders are often former campers that volunteer their time because they love Camp4Real and what it stands for. They bring an amazing energy to the C4R experience while bringing a “big kid coolness” factor that the Rising-Stars and All-Stars LOVE!
C4Rockstars: The BEST of the BEST! Our C4Rockstars have earned their status as REAL assets to the C4R team and become official members of the staff! They do it all including photography, leading dances or comedy routines, running the social media accounts to helping our campers with special needs! The Super-Stars strive to be them and the campers go absolutely bonkers over them! So much so that it makes some of the physical education teachers jealous! Our C4Rockstars are greatly valued and truly help make the C4R experience a REAL unique one for all involved!
Hey! I am Charlotte and I am currently a senior at Monticello High School, but will be attending Elon University in the fall! In my free time I love to play soccer, hike and cook! I fell in love with Camp4Real as a Rising-Star when I attended Meriwether Lewis Elementary School. I am so glad to now work and teach kids how to have fun while being active and eating healthy! My favorite parts about camp are getting creative with snacks, playing blob tag, and getting to meet so many new kids and staff!
I was a student at Meriwether Lewis all six years and went to Camp4Real every summer. I am now a rising sophomore at WAHS and it is my second year on the staff. When I was a camper, and still to this day, the fruit wraps have been my favorite food and blob tag as my favorite game. Being 6’4” and having been around younger kids, I am no stranger to be used as a human jungle gym. My younger brother (14) has gone through the camp and my other brother (7) is current attending, so Camp4Real has been a part of our summers since 2011. I have greatly enjoyed what camp has done for me and I am excited to be back!!! My favorite C4R snack is when Mezeh Mediterranean Grill and The Juice Laundry visit!
Hi my name is Hadley Smith! I am currently a senior at Western Albemarle High School. After I graduate, I will be attending Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama in the fall! I will be majoring in Global and Cultural Studies with a concentration in Human Geography!
I started Camp4Real as a volunteer in the summer of 2019. Then I was hired on the team and helped with Kids Night Out events. Last summer I worked at the Blue Ridge Camp and it was so fun! I hope everyone signs up for such a great week!
Some fun facts about me – My favorite fruit is raspberries and my favorite vegetable is zucchini! I love to hang out with friends, especially the friends I make at camp! I love to have dance parties and paddle board at camp! My favorite snack at camp is sweet and savory toast!
Hey! I’m Caitlin, I go to WAHS and work here at C4R. I run track and cross country, and love photography and videography! I am very outgoing and I LOVE meeting all the new people here at camp! I enjoy school, traveling, and am passionate about learning new things everyday. Many of you have seen me taking pictures and videos at camp, or seen my pictures on the C4R instagram! A fun fact about me is that I have been water-skiing since I was 6. I have 2 younger brothers, so I grew up running around outside all the time! I am very passionate about health and fitness, and can ALWAYS be found with a smile on my face! My favorite thing about C4R is the wonderful people I get to work with, both counselors and campers! I absolutely love working with kids, and the kids here have truly changed my perspective on life, and their passion for living a healthy lifestyle inspires me to do the same. I especially love seeing the same campers come back year after year! I am incredibly grateful for C4R and the fun I have here every summer. It truly is one of my favorite parts of the year! My favorite snack is the sunflower seed butter fruit wraps!
