YOU TAKE INITIATIVE AND GET THINGS DONE!

You look for ways to help without being asked like tidying/cleaning up, engaging the kids, helping with meal service andensuring game equipment is ready for upcoming activities.

YOU DEMONSTRATE ACTIVE LEADERSHIP!

You look for ways to lead games and activities, share ideas on how to make camp more fun/organized/safe, double/triplecheck ingredients for campers who have allergies, ensure the team is following all guidelines and speak up in a respectfulway if corrections should be made.

YOU ARE SOCIAL MEDIA SAVVY!

You are responsible and appropriate with your phone use at camp and take pictures and videos of the awesome momentshappening at camp: group selfies, interview a camper, interview yourself, make a fun or silly reel, take a first-personperspective video, etc. Look for ways to be inclusive and sensitive to all campers in the content you capture.

You have strategies at the ready to gain campers’ attention when needed (quiet cues, countdowns, big voice ormegaphone), you ensure proper supervision is in place for high needs activities like group soccer games and mealtimetables where older kids congregate, you always keep your back to the wall to survey activities throughout the room, not justthe kids you are currently engaging, and you are consistent with following through on appropriate consequences formisbehavior (“We mentioned if you are interrupting the speaker, we’ll have to move you outside the group circle away fromthe others so it will make it easier to listen. So move over to the blue line right outside the circle and that will help you.”)

YOU COMMUNICATE WELL AND OFTEN!

You are quick to ask questions when you require direction or insight and respond respectfully when a camper or teammember speaks with you. You notify the camp director or teacher immediately if you are taking a group of campers to thebathroom, and respond in a timely manner to camp-related texts and email messages.

YOU ARE PUNCTUAL AND RELIABLE

You show up on time and are ready to get to work! If for some reason you are unable to be at your designated area at thetime that you are supposed to be, you communicate this to the camp manager/teacher immediately. You always follow theRAC guidelines as best you can!
