Snack and Lunch Service
Will lunch be provided at Kids Day Off (KDO) events?
No, we will not be serving lunch at KDO this year. Each kid should bring a packed lunch from home. All personal items including lunch boxes and containers need to have the child’s name on them.
Will there be a snack time?
Yes! We’ll be providing one healthy, allergy-friendly pre-packaged snack during the day to help keep kids fueled and energized. Kids are also welcome to pack their own snack.
What about Kids Night Out (KNO), Winter Break Camp, or Summer Camp?
-
KNO: Kids should each dinner prior to arriving at KNO. We’ll also provide a healthy snack during the event but kids are welcome to bring their own.
-
Winter Break & Summer Camp: Kids should bring a lunch from home. They’re welcome to bring their own snacks, or we’ll have snacks available for purchase at camp.
We loved the food at Camp4Real, why the change in food policy?
We’ve made this change to align with national camp standards, helping to minimize allergy risks and create a safer experience for both campers and staff. Additionally, feedback from families over the years supports this approach, as it ensures each child has food that meets their individual dietary needs and restrictions.
Are nutrition and healthy eating still part of the camp experience?
Absolutely! Nutrition and healthy eating is one of the big reasons we started Camp4Real, so we’re excited to keep sharing fun and meaningful activities about healthy eating, food mindfulness, and nutrition at every event.
